Our verdict on Microsoft Teams
Microsoft Teams is cheap if you only need chat and meetings, and effectively free if you already pay for Microsoft 365. Teams Essentials costs $4.00 per user per month paid yearly, with meetings for up to 300 people. Microsoft 365 Business Basic costs $7.00 yearly or $8.40 monthly, and includes Teams plus the rest of the Microsoft 365 apps in the business bundle. There is also a free plan.
The catch is the extras. Teams Phone, audio conferencing, Teams Premium and Teams Rooms are separate licences, and their prices are not listed on the pages we used.
