Questions to ask about price
- Is there a minimum number of seats or a minimum annual spend?
- What is the discount for annual billing, and can we start monthly?
- Which features we need sit in add-ons or a higher plan, and what do they cost?
- How much can the price rise at renewal, and is the increase capped in the contract?
- Are there one-time costs for implementation, onboarding or data migration?
Is Bitwarden worth the price?
Bitwarden is excellent value for budget-conscious teams and anyone who prefers open source, since even the paid tiers cost very little per seat. It gets more expensive when you need SSO, because that jumps you from $4 to $6 per user. Teams that want the most polished interface may find the savings come with some friction, and annual-only billing means you commit for a year.

Bitwarden compared
Our verdict on Bitwarden
Bitwarden is one of the cheapest password managers for business use that we cover. Teams costs $4 per user per month billed annually, Enterprise costs $6, and there is a free organization plan that stays free. For a 20-person team that is $960 a year on Teams or $1,440 on Enterprise, before taxes. Reviewers on G2 give it 4.6 from 1,342 reviews and call out the low price.
The catch is where features sit. SSO is Enterprise only, so adding it costs 50 percent more per user than Teams, and self-hosting is also an Enterprise capability. Teams does include SCIM and event logs per the pricing page. Reviewers also say the interface is less polished than rivals, which matters only if training time is part of your cost.
